Eighth Graders Passing Algebra I

Percentage of 8th grade students passing Algebra I

  • Explanation of Display Exp. of Display
  • Context
  • Resources

The graph displays the percentage of 8th graders passing Algebra I. It is important to note that not all 8th grade students are enrolled in an Algebra I class. Courses taken during any summer sessions are NOT included in this calculation. If the percentage is 0 it means that an Algebra I course is not offered by this school or district.

The percentage of students passing is shown by the bold sections of each ring. The rings are color coded for the school, district, and state.

Percentages are listed along side the color key. Or, you can mouse over each colored ring to view the corresponding percentage in the center of the circle.

Students who succeed in Algebra in middle school (measured by earning a C or above) may put themselves on track for high school, college, and career readiness
