College level courses offered to qualified high school students for college credit. (Which, unlike Dual Credit courses may or may not result in high school credit.) Students interested in attending college can benefit from access to dual enrollment courses. Dual enrollment provides access to a wider range of rigorous courses, savings in time and money on a college degree, easier admission, and greater retention rates in college. Dual enrollment programs are particularly helpful for at-risk students, helping them transition to college following high school graduation.
