Teachers are among the very most important factors in the success of students. This data includes educators who have earned educator licenses and teach in classrooms - regular classroom teachers, special education teachers, and resource teachers (specialists in subject areas or special education who work in multiple classrooms). Research has shown clearly that students learn better with teachers who know their subject areas well, hold regular professional licenses, and have more experience.
