The initial display shows the percentage of students whose primary language is not English. By selecting five-year trend, you can see the enrollment of English language learners over time. To learn more about English language learners, use the scroll bar to access additional screens.

Students whose primary language is not English receive English language instruction that targets their individual learning needs. Specially-designed curriculum prepares these students to meet college and career readiness standards, and the annual ACCESS test measures their progress toward proficiency in English. The additional displays show how many students at this school participate in the program and the rate at which they reach proficiency and exit the program to merge into regular classrooms. Screens showing the number of students taking the ACCESS tests and the number of long-term English Learners also help track the quality of the English Learner program.
