The accountability system has four meta-indicators that are currently being validated for use as indicators within the summative designation calculations in future years. These include the College and Career Readiness indicator (CCRI), Fine Arts indicator, P-2 indicator, and Elementary/Middle indicator. In 2023 the components of the CCRI and Fine Arts indicators are being added to the Illinois Report Card for the first time. The Illinois Report Card is reporting an overall calculation, but rather the sub-elements.
The minimum composite score necessary for a student to be included in the numerator of this calculation was 1400 for students taking the SAT or 30 for the ACT. This score may be achieved at any point in the student’s school career.
The Illinois State Board of Education in 2023 officially uses the SAT as a component of its broader accountability framework, administering the examination at public schools statewide. This indicator can be satisfied as a result of a student self-reporting outcomes from taking either the SAT or the ACT as part of a national test administration day offered by either test vendor.
